Before Installation


Make sure that the driver to your 3D graphic card is proper installed and working.



Installation

Download Open Arena to your Desktop.

Code:

mkdir -p ~/.Games/OpenArena
cd ~/Desktop
unzip oa076LinuxMacWin.zip
cp -r openarena-0.7.6/* ~/.Games/OpenArena


Done.



Launcher

Download openarena.png to your Desktop.



Code:

cd ~/Desktop
mv openarena.png ~/.Games/OpenArena
alacarte



Go to the Game section in Alacarte and push the New Item button. Fill in;

Name: Open Arena
Command: /home/USERNAME/.Games/OpenArena/openarena.x86_64
Comment: OpenArena is an open-source content package for Quake III Arena licensed under the GPL, effectively creating a free stand-alone game.

Icon: ~/.Games/OpenArena/openarena.png



You can now launch from Nexuiz by Applications tab —> Games —> Open Arena
