Alien Swarm is an overhead view tactical squad-based shooter for UT2K4. Set in the the distant future, the players take the role of a Commander in the Interstellar Armed Forces. They must guide their squad of marines through Swarm infested colonies, overrun bases and outposts, to achieve a variety of objectives. Featuring Assault Rifles, Heat Tracking Guns, Sentry Guns, Flamethrowers and more. Supports co-operative multiplayer.

Test if UT2004 is working properly.

Download Alien Swarm to your Desktop, thereafter open the terminal;

Download the latest Alien Swarm patch to your Desktop;

sudo unzip AlienSwarm_13_or_131_to_132_Patch.zip -d /usr/local/games/ut2004

Save alienswarm.png to your Desktop;

Code:

cd ~/Desktop
sudo mv alienswarm.png /usr/local/games/ut2004/AlienSwarm
sudo nano /usr/share/applications/alienswarm.desktop

add the following;

Then save (ctrl)+(o) and exit (ctrl)+(x).


You can now launch Alien Swarm by Applications tab —> Games —> Alien Swarm
