Make sure that the driver to your 3D graphic card is proper installed and working.
Libgtk1.2 is needed for Postal 2: Share the Pain installation interface;

sudo aptitude install libgtk1.2
Done.
Insert the Postal 2: Share the Pain in the CDrom. Open up the terminal and type;

sudo sh /media/cdrom0/setup.sh
NOTE 1: Your CDrom may have another path or called something else that is shown in this guide.
NOTE 2: Use the default settings that the installation window uses. Don't start mess with them, unless you know what you're doing!
NOTE 3: Don't start Postal 2: Share the Pain from the installation window. The installation window is running under Admin rules and therefore will mess up the permission system of Postal 2: Share the Pain if launched. Exit it when installation is complete.

Move Postal 2 from Other to Games. Then exit alacarte.
You can now launch Postal 2: Share the Pain from Apllications —> Games —→ Postal 2: Share the Pain
